Happy 5 months and a day! Every month continues to get better and better. We now have fully mastered wake, feed, play, sleep routine during the day! I did this with my other two and it took me a little while to remind myself of how it works and how it would work with three at one time. Just like most routines, once you stick with it for several days, you can start to run on auto pilot. It's not every day that you can feel like a super hero, but after this week of visiting a park with all five then coming home and getting all five sleeping at the same time, I felt like superwoman!! I can't take all the credit, to get the three babies to sleep all I do is swaddle them tight and lay them in the crib to fall asleep on their own- it's magical!! The grandmas sometimes have a hard time with this because they love to rock them! This month we also started Earlysteps, which is a program in which we have a therapist come out to our home twice a month and work with all three. Because they were preemies and were born two months early we are trying to lessen the gap between their developmental age and actual age. So far the boys are doing great, they both rolled over for the first time within 30 minutes of each other. They are slowing reaching for toys and we are introducing sitting up. They are very strong and enjoy tummy time and the activity mat. Then we have Annalee, who like always is a little diva. Even her dr and nurses call her this! She is stubborn and likes to do things on her own time! She literally cries before you even get her on her belly for tummy time! It's a sad, sad cry! We let her cry for a few minutes a day so she can get stronger and practice her neck and core strength! I have already seen an improvement in the first month of practicing after every feeding. I'm looking forward to the summer starting, the big girls have joined our neighborhood "swim team" with daily practices and three meets! Watching your own children play sports might be one of the highlights of being a parent! Ava was also awarded "Gymnast of the Month" and I'm amazed at what progress she had made this past semester as she has mastered her cartwheel and headstand and moving on to harder skills! Personally I have been extremely busy with my photography buisnesses. I wrapped up my mini- sessions and have a summer booked of lots of newborns! I shot an 8 hour wedding last night and it feels so good to get away from home for a few hours and do what I love with my great partner and friend Kristin!! I'm so fortunate to spend everyday with my kids and have a job that I LOVE and be able to balance both! Well next month will the triplets 1/2 Birthday! Time flies when you are having fun! As usual I want to say thank you to both my mom and mother in law for all their help! Also, whoever keeps anonymously dropping off diapers and wipes, we greatly appreciate these gifts! The fact that it is unknown who this "diaper fairy" is, makes it even better!
